Yokohama: A Walkable City

Yokohama is just a great city to get out there and just walk around – and today was a beautiful day to be outside.  This afternoon, after having lunch in Kannai, the wife and I decided to walk down to the Red Brick Warehouse area.  Along the way, we stopped by the free Yokohama Customs Museum and looked around for about a half hour.  Afterward, we went down to Red Brick Warehouse area and they had a nice flower show going on.  Then we went inside the building and walked around checking out the small shops inside and also went upstairs and perused some local art at the gallery.  After walking around for a couple hours, we jumped on the train and headed back home – simple life, simple pleasures!

About runninginspired

I’m in my mid-40s and have been running for about 19 years. I have finished 24 marathons with a personal best time of 3:04. I currently reside in San Diego, CA. I enjoy running since it keeps you honest and will give back what you put into it. Work hard, but smart, and good results will eventually follow. I like to experiment with training plans, gadgets, shoes, and nutrition to find what works for me. The primary purpose of this blog is to document my training and thoughts about running in my ongoing quest to improve my fitness and health.
