Did kettlebell and yoga for core fitness training on Monday and Thursday. I ran on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday for a total of 24 miles. Wednesday and Saturday were rest days, although I did manage to get in 50 minutes of yoga on Saturday.
On Sunday, instead of my normal long run, I ran a half marathon race. I beat my goal of 1:30, running a 1:29. Although not a PR, I was happy with the results. Click here for details of the race report.
This upcoming week will be getting back to the routine of maintaining my base. I’ll do my normal kettlebell and yoga routine on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday I’ll do 6 x 800m intervals, a tempo of 10 miles on Thursday, and long run of about 15 miles on Sunday. I will do a little restorative yoga on Saturday as a rest day. It is getting warm, so I’ll have to look at reducing my pace a bit.

Tuesday – Intervals (6 x 400s with a 90 seconds rest between intervals, intervals between 1:20 to 1:25).
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – Easy Run (5 miles)
Friday – Kettlebell (26 minutes), Yoga (20 minutes)
Saturday – Kettlebell (26 minutes), Yoga (20 minutes)
Sunday – Half Marathon, 1:29:46 (6:50/mile pace)
