Saturday Morning Along the Yokohama Bayfront

Woke up early this morning to ride my bike along the Yokohama Bayfront and snap some pictures.  Beautiful morning, crisp and cool.

This is the sailboat that just recently returned to Japan after sailing around the world in 3 years. It was quite an accomplishment by the world's oldest sailor, Minoru Saito. The boat looks like it took quite a beating.

I thought this was an interesting exhibit. The first picture shows a young family probably 20 - 30 years ago. The second picture is a recent picture of the same family members taken at the same spot.

Years ago, but seems like yesterday.

Wow, where did the years go?

About runninginspired

I’m in my mid-40s and have been running for about 19 years. I have finished 24 marathons with a personal best time of 3:04. I currently reside in San Diego, CA. I enjoy running since it keeps you honest and will give back what you put into it. Work hard, but smart, and good results will eventually follow. I like to experiment with training plans, gadgets, shoes, and nutrition to find what works for me. The primary purpose of this blog is to document my training and thoughts about running in my ongoing quest to improve my fitness and health.
